Join The Ride

Registration for 2024 is now closed! Thanks for your interest!

Details:

  • The ride begins at 8am from the Rundle Family Centre in Rundle Park and runs until 8pm.

  • The route runs through Rundle Park, into Goldbar Park, and back (around 10.6 km total with 88m of climbing per lap). The Strava file for the route can be found here.

  • Signs will be posted throughout the route; however, riders are encouraged to pre-ride the course within the week of the event to familiarize themselves with the route. Note that conditions are likely to be variable depending on the weather (i.e. we might get a dump of snow).

  • Riders will complete as many laps as possible over the course of 12 hours. Riders will ride at whatever pace they choose. Pledges are based on the number of kms accumulated over the course of the 12 hour ride. More kms = more $ raised.

  • Riders should use Strava or Ride GPS to record their ride and record their kms.

  • Any type of bike is permitted, although >2” tires with studs are strongly encouraged, as the conditions can be challenging with snow and ice.

  • While riders are encouraged to accumulate as many kms as they can, riders should know their own limits and ride at a comfortable pace for the 12 hours. THIS IS NOT A RACE!

  • Riders can rest, eat, warm up, use the facilities, etc. at the Rundle Family Centre whenever they need to.

  • Food and drink will be provided to riders throughout the day; although, riders are encouraged to pack some for themselves. It’s a long day and nutrition is key!
